How to deal with allergic rhinitis?


Allergic rhinitis is a type of inflammation in the nose which occurs when the immune system overreacts to allergens in the air. There are two types of allergic rhinitis –seasonal (known as Hay Fever) and perennial that occurs year-round. common symptoms including: runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, coughing, dark circles under eyes, red, itchy, and watery eyes.


 Traditional Chinese medicine has a privilege of dealing with allergic rhinitis, we have treated many patients in our clinic with great outcome.

  1. Acupuncture

Research shows that acupuncture can not only interfere with the stimulation of the sensory nerve terminal sheath, but also inhibit the excitability of cholinergic nerve to relieve the symptoms. At the same time, acupuncture reduce the release of substance P in the nasal mucosa, so it can prevent the occurrence of neurogenic inflammation and indirectly play a desensitization role.

  • Foods may help

Including: Garlic, honey, onions, fish, yogurt, fruits with high level of Vitamin C, such as kiwi and orange.
